KILO-9’s trainings are specially designed for law enforcement officers using K9 Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) Guidelines for working dog handlers.
Helping K9 Officers Save Lives
Training At Every Level
We offer three types of trainings: a Basic K9 Medical Training, an Intermediate K9 Medical Training, and an Advanced Tactical Workshop. All trainings focus on some or all of the primary principles of police K9 survivability: injury prevention, medical intervention, and remaining calm.
How to Schedule a Training
KILO-9 partners with host agencies across the country to schedule, plan, and administer all of our trainings. Host agencies can be police departments, sheriff’s departments, or other law enforcement divisions. The host organization provides a location for the training as well as certain necessary equipment. KILO-9’s experienced K9 handlers and veterinarians design the itineraries and lead all trainings.
After a law enforcement agency contacts us to express interest in hosting a training, we help coordinate the event and begin advertising it. Officers at that agency can share information and sign-up instructions with their networks, and KILO-9 will promote the training on our website and social media.
Host a Training in Your Area
If your agency is interested in one of our trainings but you don’t see any available near you, please contact us to learn more about becoming a host agency.
